Different Styles of Painting

Once we become more acquainted with famous artists we will see how different their ways of painting are. Many great painters believed in different approaches to creating their works of art.  Claude Monet was an Impressionist who believed that light played an important part in his works so he always painted outdoors.  Vincent Van Gogh painted with very bright colors and applied his paint in thick layers because he felt this best displayed his emotional connection to his art.  He was a Post-Impressionist.  Pablo Picasso was called an abstractionist, this means that his style, as it evolved over many years, was to take the basic angles and lines of his subject matter and let these compose his artistic masterpieces.

Which artistic style, of these three Masters, so you like the best and why?  When you create a work of art what would you call your style of work and why?
